Bob - Plans have changed for the June 6 celebration - it will just be on Delaware Street. July 4 will be the Haymarket Square celebration. These should be a lot of fun and something the community will come out in full force for.

- Hello Wendy! I can't agree with you more about the importance of staying involved locally. It's all about generating real-life bonds with one another and truly caring for what we are all working toward. I hope only the best for the rest of 2009 for Main Street and I look forward in being a part of the concert series in working them for MidAmerican Bank's part of it. Take care and God Bless!

- About Me:
- My passion is historic downtowns and all they have to offer. As the director of the local main street program, you'll find me in Leavenworth the majority of my waking hours. Facade Projects including paint up/fix up are visible, fun and exciting for the downtown and one of my favorites. I enjoy applying for and awarding member businesses funding support and it's amazing how many projects have been funding in my 2 1/2 year tenure. Come downtown and look around - shop, dine, go to the movies or theatre, come to the many activities & events that LMS promotes, participate as a volunteer - there's many things for everyone downtown. Get involved, we have many volunteer opportunities where you'll make new friends and have fun knowing your making a difference in your community. - I live in Bonner Springs, however we have a farm in Tonganoxie and I co-own my parents farm in southern Leavenworth County - so Leavenworth and the county are a significant part of my life.
